Thursdays Part 2

On a normal Thursday, I've got the girls late because of Amy's second job. Not tonight. Tonight I have them late because Amy is sick as a dog.

We are still in the Halloween creative mode. Today we made jack-o-lanterns with canning jars, paint, and tape.

We made a face with the tape.

Using our tongue for balance, we painted the jar with orange acrylic paint.

Get some paint on the jar, too, Makayla.

Here's what they look like after a layer of paint.

There are few things the girls love more than painting. Hailey was painting everything in sight.

I moved them on to beads.

We made a Halloween necklace

using Halloween colors.

While the jars dried we headed over to Hailey's last soccer practice of the season (Yay! Yipee! Hip-hooray!)

Here's our finished product, atop my armoire, tape carefully pulled off, with a fake candle inside.

Thanks Makayla and Hailey! I think they turned out cute!

  2. So THAT'S what I'm doing wrong. I need to stick out my tongue for balance!
