Two weeks ago, Makayla had a birthday. Between taking Megan back to school, Amy's strep, and Hailey's horrid finger infection, we ended up waiting until today to celebrate.
Hailey's finger eight days later-much improved.
To honor the day, Hailey said good-bye to tooth number three.
Sandstone school gives out official tooth-holders when you lose a tooth at school. Note a couple of teeny blood drops, no doubt in case you mix your tooth up with your friend's and need to do a DNA test before the tooth fairy visits.
Poor Makayla has had a bit of a struggle recently, what with the shock of turning that ancient age of four. Or maybe it could be the adjustment to preschool. Nah, it's got to be the age thing.
We all got to go to Makayla's open house at Head Start today, where Makayla showed us how to slip into the preschool garden
and help yourself to the tomatoes. Yep, that's a ripe tomato--one of those new yellow tomato varieties. Makayla loves tomatoes like I love ice cream.
After the open house, we went to Kids' Klubhouse
to play,
eat greasy overpriced quality food
and let Makayla open some gifts.
Makayla is really into Barbies and Princesses this year. She got a little of both.
Finally, Makayla talked Amy into joining her for a little fun.
Well, at least fun for Makayla!
Happy Fourth Birthday, Makayla! We love you!
Looks like a fun birthday!
ReplyDeleteTell Makayla to hang on to those teeth. Maybe she can use them in a science project in junior high. By the way, Uncle Bob still has all of his, along with his wisdom teeth, in a little box.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me I remember a number of your baby teeth in our shared jewelry box. No wonder you and Bob found each other...
DeleteI LOVE the picture of Amy. So funny!
ReplyDeleteYep, it cracks me up too. For some reason Amy doesn't think it's as funny as I do.
